Somatic Enneagram Coaching

The Enneagram of Personality is a model of the human psyche that describes 9 personality styles. It is a tool of self-awareness and self-understanding and can provide a path to higher states of being.
The contemporary Enneagram of Personality is derived from Oscar Ichazo's teachings (1950s) and Claudio Naranjo’s teachings (1970s). But similar concepts can be found as far back as the 4th century AD in Evagrius Ponticus’ works on the deadly sins and in Gurdjieff’s use of the Enneagram symbol in his Fourth Way teachings from the early 1900s.

While the Enneagram of Personality is known to be a psycho-spiritual system, the Enneagram itself is a lot more. Each of the 9 personality types has a particular energy that can be generalized to the system level. The 9 generalized energies can be described as the 9 Design Principles of the Enneagram and can be used to help us understand how an individual (or any human system) operates and also how it breaks down and performs sub-optimally.

An Enneagram coaching engagement is 6-12 months in length and always starts with a discovery process around your Enneagram Style. Then, it focuses on your particular coaching topic and uses the Enneagram framework to help identify points of strength and weakness and where the flow process is impeded.
-
In an Enneagram Coaching engagement, we methodically explore the 9 different energies to ensure that there is balance and flow within the system. However, coaching that only works at the head level of thought and understanding will not have long-lasting results. We work with Somatic Coaching principles to ensure that your coaching transformations are fully embodied and integrated into new ways of thinking, feeling, and being so that your transformations are sustained.
