Practice
Dr. Margaret works with clients nationwide. Client engagements are streamlined and personal. Engagements are designed as transformational processes. The process begins with an intake session, followed by a planning and design phase, and lastly with an implementation and growth phase. The last phase of the engagement is often where clients are most challenged because they are held accountable for achieving the tasks and goals they’ve set for themselves.
In Financial planning, we follow the NineFold Path to Prosperity Process.
In Coaching, we use the 9 Design Principles Rubric for balance and flow.
We meet virtually on Zoom, sign contracts electronically, share documents on the cloud, text and email, build a long-term relationship. -
Philosophy
Dr. Margaret believes that blending Financial Planning with Economics, Coaching, Enneagram, and Somatics is the best way to work with clients because it is precise, effective, and based on a solid transformational process.
Financial Planning with Economics: Financial Planning is more effective when a CFP Professional has a true grasp of Economics and Financial fundamentals and does not rely on cookie-cutter software to design plans.
Financial Planning with Coaching: Financial Planning is enhanced with a coaching approach that supports individuals and couples in the implementation and change process.
Coaching with the Enneagram: Coaching can be enhanced with an Enneagram framework that supports a clear understanding of the client’s perspective and motivation.
Somatic Coaching: Coaching that integrates change at the somatic (body) level is more transformative than if it only changes thinking superficially and behaviors temporarily.

Dr. Margaret's Path
Dr. Margaret received her BA/MA summa cum laude from Yale, and her PhD in Business Economics from Harvard. She was an Economics professor for a decade, then became a financial planner. She quickly realized she needed more training to understand clients and to support real behavior change. So Dr. Margaret became an Integral Coach and then a Certified Enneagram Trainer. In this process, she began to connect the dots between financial planning, Enneagram, and Coaching. She researched and authored the first book on the Enneagram and Money in 2011 about how different personality types do money differently. In the past decade, Dr. Margaret has been developing workshops on the 9 Design Principles, refining her process of working with clients, and learning more about Somatic Coaching.
Dr. Margaret is a 2nd Gen, GenX who was born in Canada, changed schools five times by 6th grade, and went to high school in NY. She’s been married for over two decades and is the mother of 3 sons and 1 daughter. She enjoys pickleball, ultimate frisbee, mountain biking, traveling, podcasts, books, and The New Yorker.
